Practice the PAUSE

When I first learned about my strengths, I learned how the “pause” holds the power. Take this time, this forced PAUSE in life, to understand yourself, your family, and those you work with.

Do you think the other person is “out to get you”? What story are you telling yourself about this situation? What is really going on?

PAUSE, PRAY, PREPARE, be PRESENT

Change and our Perceptions

Our perceptions are incredibly strong, when change happens, it acts like ripples over the surface of water creating a different view of the world around us. That feeling surrounding the change, is grief.

You may be grieving the loss of security, control, maybe even who you thought the other person was. Dealing with the grief behind the change provides us a chance to refocus and recenter.

If change is disrupting your life, take this opportunity to be still, grieve your losses, recenter yourself, and refocus on what’s most important to you.

Next Steps for Action

It’s time to take that next step, but you’re paralyzed. What is stopping you?

Is it fear of failure, is the unknown holding you back, do you need to have all your i’s dotted and your t’s crossed?

As someone high in #Deliberative, I’m here to tell you I have fallen into this trap. It’s called perfection. Do you know what happens when you wait, stay back, or refuse to act? It robs you of opportunities that can change your life.

Weigh your risks, gather all the info you can before launching into the unknown, but don’t let good be the enemy of great. Steady yourself, take that ride, go down that chute!
